Okay this is my first blog. What is a blog? Well, from i can tell it is someone writing down what they feel about things. For instance the news, a breaking story be it local, state, national or international. The recent passing of an iconic sports figure like “Stan the Man”. It cold be about an event one attended. Or, just some random passing thought crazy or sane. A blog should be thought provoking but not necessarily. While the writer is not intending it to that way, some people will think about it in a way no others will. This blog is for me. For me to share my thought and for you, to comment on and share your view. We will disagree, and that is okay because we have the freedom to do that. I might use curse words ( my mother will not be reading this – lol ) to make a point, if you are offended by curse words – you have a choice. Read it or not, your choice.
I would like to post a new every week – maybe sundays wold be good.
My first thought is one I have shared a few time verbally with a few people but want all of you to know this one.
Driving in Texas. There are some fucked up drivers down here. Not that I am the best but,,,,, I noticed it in 2008 as I was on my here for the first time coming out of Kansas City. The closer I got to Texas the more I noticed other drivers HOGGING the left lane. Why they do this is beyond me. The left lane is for passing not driving. While they might be going the max speed limit they are still in the left lane, not passing, just there. Most of the time even if you drive up behind them they just sit out there. You can pull up closer ( not advocating that you tail gate ) for a short time then back off and they still don’t get the picture. Sometimes, you just have to pass on the right. One thing I have decided is that you don’t flash your lights, honk your horn or tail gate them for an extended period. Reason, these rednecks carry guns. So, if your ever driving in Texas and come up on someone hogging the left lane just be patient, its the safest thing to do.
Im a left lane driver, but nice enough to pull over if someone is behind me. ( our Mother despises left lane driving as well) Passing on the right isnt illegal, just dangerous. Just because your’re from Texas doesnt make you a redneck. and last I checked carrying a weapon was still legal.
